Activated charcoal is popular but this beneficial ingredient has been used in beauty products for years. Here at Normal Soap Company we've been using it in our cold process handcrafted soaps since the beginning. But now there is an exclusive face soap with activated charcoal and so many other wonderful ingredients for your face.
There are many types of charcoal. Activated charcoal is most commonly used for medical, beauty or purification processes. To become “activated,” the charcoal goes through a high temperature steam activation process. This process increases its surface area, which increases the charcoal’s ability to absorb and filter. This makes activated charcoal the proper choice for medical and cosmetic use.
There is a lot of pure activated charcoal in this soap. It might have a slight grayish lather. But it won't permanently stain washcloths or skin.

This face soap is best for oily skin because of it's fantastic ability to draw out oil and dirt from pores. If you have dry skin this face soap might be a little too drying.
We use Organic Jojoba oil in this face soap because it closely resembles human sebum (the oil naturally produced by skin), making it effective for a wide range of skin types and conditions. Dry or oily, young or mature, jojoba helps bring balance to skin.
Camellia oil is the actual green tea oil. It comes from the seeds of Camellia sinensis, the plant from which all the tea is made. It is highly emollient and has great antioxidant properties.
Tea Tree Essential Oil is great for skin and is the main essential oil in this face soap. It can bring beauty to your skin routine.
Geranium Essential Oil is highly aromatic and great for aromatherapy use as well as the skin.
Frankincense Essential Oil is also used for the face and imparts a wonderful balancing aroma.
